:”Write the Light“: Writing a Nonfiction Book for Christian Writers
May 2 | Saturday | 10:00am – 2:30pm* | Overcomer Covenant Church, Auburn WA
Has God laid a desire in your heart to write a book? Would you benefit from professional guidance? Do you want to get your book finished and your message out to the world? If so, this event is for you! During this workshop, here are some of the skills you will learn:
- How to create a writing roadmap so your writing goes easier and faster. (Carolyn Warren explains how she wrote her first book in three months that sold over 50,000. Copy her method for your own book.)
- How to make find time to write, even if you’re too busy. (This works for people with ADHD too.)
- Learn the best way to grab readers’ attention from the very first page. (Most writers start their book the wrong way, thus, they sabotage their own sales!)
- Discover how bestselling nonfiction authors structure their chapters to keep readers turning pages until the end. (Avoid the “mid-book slump.”)
- …and more. You will make progress with your own book during this workshop, so bring your idea, your chapters, or whatever you have so far.
- Please note this workshop is for all types of nonfiction. It is not for novels, children’s or poetry.
Carolyn Warren is both traditionally published (Wiley, FT Press, Gospel Light, Baker House) and self-published with over 150,000 books sold. Retiring after 23 years as a mortgage broker, she has a passion to help Christians get their message out to the world. She serves on the board of Northwest Christian Writers Association as the writers coach coordinator and enjoys working as an editor and writer.
